Apparently we don't exist!

All names are false, as I'm sure I'd want my private life out of their blogs as well :P.

I was talking with some friends of mine this week, and heard something funny, but that I didn't expect from them.  Let me explain them first.  One, Cheryl has recently admitted to being a lesbian and is happily dating her girlfriend, Sandra.  The other I only met recently, and as far as I know is single and happy with it.

We got onto the topic of girls, and eventually bisexuality.  Cheryl turned to me and said "I'm sorry hun, I just don't believe it can be both ways! You are, or you aren't".  Sandra agreed.  While I respect their opinions, I find it hard to believe that they of all people would have this opinion.  We're in a small city, and it's still stuck in the mindset of the early 90's here, so you either hang with the gay or straight crowd, rarely in-between.  I'd think that women such as them, who have been told that it's a phase, or that there's something wrong would understand, but instead I got the same answer: it's just a phase.  The twist of course is that they assume I'll turn gay, whereas most people think I'll give up on this whole "bisexual thing" and go back to being straight.

The argument here is: wasn't I bi from the beginning? If you're born gay, aren't you born Bi? If I was born this way, then no matter what I do, I'll never be gay, and never be straight.  Why is it so hard to believe that there are people out there who enjoy both sexes? Sigh.
